Description
The GITZ is idyllically located at the gates of the Bavarian town of Lindau. Camping began quite by chance in the 1960s in the Lindau district of Gitzenweiler. Even then, the first holidaymakers appreciated the natural beauty of the region. On their way to Italy, they stopped here for the night with their Alpine cruisers on the old estate.
Today, the Gitzenweiler Hof scores as a 'place to be' for outdoor romantics, bon vivants, fortune hunters and camping heroes with its versatility. During the holidays, the camping park is especially popular with families because of its activity programme. In the quieter periods in between, it is popular with campers 55 plus, nature lovers and couples.
If you don't have a recreational vehicle, you can rent a caravan or a Varia Home. The offers of the camping park can be booked at www.gitzenweiler-hof.de. The attractive location between Lake Constance and the Allgäu is the ideal starting point for excursions into the four-country region.
Gastronomy and leisure activities
The Gitzenweiler Hof inn serves Bavarian-Swabian delicacies all year round (closed on Tuesdays), also to Lindau residents and visitors to the region. A lunch menu is offered on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. From the end of March to the beginning of November, Udo's snack bar and the Ristorante Pinocchio pizzeria round off the gastronomy.
During this time, non-campers can also hire a pony from Marissa's Pony Farm and go for a ride around the GITZ. Bicycles and electric scooters can be hired and, by arrangement, balloon rides in the bright yellow GITZ balloon can also be booked.

Check-in and check-out regulation
The pitches are available from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival and until 11 a.m. on the day of departure.
The rental accommodation and rental bathrooms are available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival and until 10 a.m. on the day of departure.
A later departure must be agreed in advance with the reception and is only possible in season B. For this you pay a daily flat rate of € 8.00.
Differing cancellation conditions
The campsite guest can withdraw from the camping contract at any time with a corresponding written declaration to Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof GmbH. Cancellations must always be made in writing and will be reconfirmed.
a) for arrival in your own recreational vehicle
Cancellations up to 7 days before the planned arrival date are free of charge and no further fees will be charged. In the event of cancellation after this period or no-show, the deposit already paid shall remain with Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof GmbH in full. In the event of changes to the booking details after the booking confirmation has been made (e.g. change of time, change of pitch), a processing fee of € 30.00 may be charged.
b) for rented objects
The receipt of the declaration by Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof GmbH is decisive for the consequences of the withdrawal. Cancellation by the camper is possible at any time up to 2 months before the start of the rental period for a handling fee of € 30.00. If the camper withdraws from the camping contract for a rented object, Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof is entitled to demand the following compensation:
Up to 8 weeks before the start of the rental period: 25% of the total price.
Up to 4 weeks before the start of the rental period: 50 % of the total price
Up to 2 weeks before the start of the rental period: 75 % of the total price
2 weeks or less before the start of the rental period: 100 % of the total price.
To ensure that you are compensated for possible financial losses in the event of cancellation or interruption of your holiday due to illness, accident or unemployment, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof GmbH is entitled to withdraw from the camping contract if the rental object cannot be made available after conclusion of the contract due to force majeure. In this case, any amounts paid will be refunded. Further claims beyond this are excluded. In this case, Campingpark Gitzenweiler Hof GmbH is obliged to inform the campsite guest immediately.
Tourist tax information
