Description
The self-catering Inselhostel has nine single rooms, three twin rooms, two double rooms with a queen-size bed (1.40 m wide) and one studio. The bedrooms are located on the 2nd floor. They are not equipped with a bathroom. Our guests can use the shared bathroom and the shared toilets. In the shared bathroom there is also a washing machine and dryer available for a fee. All our guests on the 1st floor may use the communal kitchen. It is fully equipped with crockery and kitchen utensils. In the kitchen, each room has its own compartment in the fridge and its own locker suitable for storing dry food.
House rules:
Smoking is prohibited in the Inselhostel.
Please observe the general rules of conduct for peaceful coexistence. Loud conversations and noises in the hallway are disturbing, please be considerate of the other guests. The night's rest is valid in our house from 22:00 o'clock.
The electricity for the electrical appliances in the kitchen is automatically switched off at 23:00 for safety reasons.
Night parties in the rooms and common areas are strictly prohibited.
Location:
The Inselhostel is located opposite Lindau's main railway station, so it is ideal for guests arriving by train. The harbour can be reached on foot in two minutes, but the whole of Lindau Island and the historic old town can also be easily explored from here. Two city bus lines, train and boat connections are available to our guests directly in front of the house. Further information on the infrastructure (timetables, transport network, etc.) is available to our guests at the reception.
In the immediate vicinity you will find a wide range of shopping facilities, such as a supermarket, pharmacy, bakery, numerous cafés and restaurants, boutiques, etc. At the reception we have hung up a map with our favourite places in Lindau and the surrounding area for you.
The Inselhostel does not have its own parking spaces. For shorter stays, we recommend parking your car in the P4 multi-storey car park in Zwanziger Straße (approx. 400 m) or directly in front of the island in the P3 car park on Karl-Bever-Platz (approx. 800 m). For longer stays, the less expensive car parks P1 and P2 on the mainland are suitable.

Cancellations for bookings for stays longer than seven nights:
Cancellation is free of charge up to 7 days before the date of arrival; after this date, the deposit of 50% of the total price of the trip will not be refunded.
Cancellations for bookings for stays of seven nights and less:
Cancellation free of charge up to 3 days before arrival date; after that 90 % of the booked travel price will be charged as cancellation fee.
This regulation also applies to no-shows and early departures.
Tourist tax information
The indicated prices do not include the tourist tax. The local tourist tax must be paid on site. Detailed information about the tourist tax and the guest card can be found here.
Important payment information and other conditions
Bookings for stays longer than seven nights:
For bookings for longer stays, we require a deposit of 50% of the total amount. These deposits are due eight days after receipt of the invoice. The balance can be paid by bank transfer at least three working days before arrival or in cash on arrival. The deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled seven days or less before the date of arrival.
Bookings for stays of seven nights or less:
No deposit is required for bookings for shorter stays. You pay in cash on arrival.
