The Baumgartenhaus with its Italian-style courtyard is considered an oasis in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city centre. It has always been used as a residential and commercial building, and since its comprehensive renovation in 2010 it has been home to two different holiday apartments, each with its own special flair:
The "Kingdom of Heaven" on the top floor (approx. 70 steps) offers you the best panoramic view in the comfortably furnished, bright apartment with separate bedroom, kitchenette with dishwasher in the living/dining room, but also a view of the old beams of a listed patrician house.

In this holiday flat you breathe history. Here it comes to life.
Impressive: the high rooms, the stucco ceilings, the white wooden floors, the historical doors with the forged locks showing the locking mechanism. All carefully put back into scene.
Fixtures from the 50s (bathroom and kitchen) have been respectfully restored and provided with new comfort. The window niches in the thick walls are cosy; for centuries they have been inviting you to drink tea or play cards on a pedestal, with a view of the Italian-style courtyard. Enjoy a refuge with atmosphere!
Wherever you are in the Baumgarten, you will be confronted with the architecture and lifestyle of generations before us, which combined with today's standards and today's revitalisation radiates a very special atmosphere. Be enchanted by the small details, the thick walls, the cosy ambience and the stories of the Baumgartenhaus and its inhabitants.
Check-in and check-out regulation
Arrival is possible from 4:00 pm, departure is requested by 10:00 hrs. Please contact your host in time before your arrival to arrange for the keys to be handed over.Differing cancellation conditions
Cancellation free of charge up to 7 days before arrival date; after that 90 % of the booked travel price will be charged as cancellation costs.Tourist tax information
